... a piece of art shakes you.
It grabs you in it's sharp teeth and jerks you around until everything you thought you knew falls out of your head and you are left to look at life with an unbiased perspective. It requires investment. It requires connection. It requires empathy.
I wasn't quite ready to dive into such an intense project so soon after returning to the theatre world -- but it found me nonetheless. The wonderful artists at FUSE Theatre Ensemble welcomed me into their ranks for the first time and like a lot of my life lately, I was in the right place at the right time.
The theatre is small. The work is intricate. There is nowhere to hide the stage magic. Everything is seemingly surreal but follows a very true and very violent story to a bitter end. It is horror and tragedy at it's finest. It forces the audience to grapple with what they are witnessing -- and it asks that they pass judgement. This is brutal theatre for sure. Not for the faint of heart. I highly recommend that you pick up the challenge and put this on your must see list. It is very rewarding in the long run. Audiences are limited, so get you tickets soon.
